This is a sophisticated (yet user friendly) software product by
DxO Labs
DXO Optics Pro applies various optical and exposure corrections to digital images taken with specific digital camera/lens (mostly wide angle) combinations.
It does not come cheap though: $169 and $299 (April 2009) for the Standard and Elite versions, but might be a money well spent, for wide angle DSLR addicts.
A word on camera/lens compatibility: the software package may be of very little use unless it supports the specific DSLR body and lens combination images were taken with. Check the official compatibility table before you make a purchase, or even download the time limited trial software.
I recommend Ken Rockwell's review (above) to better understand what Optics Pro is about. And,
here is an example of a DxO Optics Pro processed photo that I took in Canada (using a Nikon D70 body and a
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens). It took just a few seconds telling Optics Pro what to do, I was really impressed with the processing capabilities.
